Pottery Bake Down is a small, joyful studio where beginners become makers. Book a session, come along, and learn to throw, shape and glaze, one gloriously imperfect pot at a time.

Every class is small, hands-on, and led by someone who still gets a thrill when the wheel catches. No experience, no problem. Bring curiosity and an old shirt.

Light pours in, the wheels hum, and there is always a kettle on. We keep groups tiny so you actually get your hands held when you need it, and your space when you find your flow.

Show up, roll your sleeves, and learn from a maker who loves nothing more than messy beginnings.
We bake your piece in the kiln and let you know the moment it is ready to take home.
Book a slot and we email you a confirmation right away. We also send email and text reminders before your session, 24 hours ahead and again 30 minutes before, so the only thing you forget is your worries at the door.
Wonky, wonderful, and entirely their own. This is what a few hours at the wheel looks like.

“I came in convinced I had no creative bone in my body and left with a lopsided mug I genuinely adore. Best two hours I have spent in ages.”
None at all. Most of our makers have never touched clay before. We teach from the very first squish.
Clothes you do not mind getting clay on, and short or tied-back nails help at the wheel. Aprons and everything else are on us.
Pieces need to dry, be fired, glazed and fired again. We email you the moment yours is ready to collect, usually within two to three weeks.
You pay securely when you book, through Stripe's hosted checkout. Your slot is confirmed once payment lands.

Grab a slot, come along, and bake something down with us. We cannot wait to meet your mug.
